Hellman & Associates

Safety & Health Consultants

The Support You Need, When You Need It

Whether you need an interim EHS professional during a staff transition or require extra support and expertise for during audits, inspections, or special projects, Hellman & Associates can step in at short notice. Our safety and health consultants have a breadth of knowledge and subject matter expertise, enabling us to quickly find a fit and fill the role.

Some of our larger clients have also chosen to outsource their EHS management program rather than incur the costs of hiring an in-house manager. This gives them the peace of mind of full coverage, as every H&A consultant has the backing of our entire team.

In either case, H&A can quickly assume EHS responsibilities because of our collective experience across industries.

Sample Staffing Assignments

  • Pharmaceutical
H&A currently staffs a full-time health and safety consultant whose responsibilities include OSHA compliance assessments, health and safety compliance audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ventilation system evaluations, data management system development, and OSHA written program development and health and safety training support. H&A’s on-site consultant also conducts process equipment containment and engineering control evaluations for highly potent and biologically active pharmaceutical intermediates and raw materials.
  • Beverage
H&A currently staffs a part-time consultant who conducts industrial hygiene tasks including noise dosimetry testing, sound mapping, and air CO2 monitoring, and administers new-hire employee safety training.
  • National Contractor
H&A placed a temporary full-time consultant at multiple projects in different states to manage onsite safety for ground-up and heavy industrial retro-fit projects. The consultant worked closely with site management and ownership to ensure construction site safety and accountability for all trades.
  • Healthcare / Hospital
During a staff transition, H&A staffed a full-time health and safety consultant who ensured safety program compliance, updated and maintained emergency evacuation procedures, and organized medical records and accident reports. Our consultant helped prepare for Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) compliance investigations and participated in emergency-planning meetings and events.
“We were notified of a pending Joint Commission inspection but did not have an in-house safety officer at the time. Hellman & Associates helped us put together policies and procedures specific to our facility to satisfy the requirements of the Joint Commission. They ensured we were well prepared for our inspection, which we passed quickly and easily. Since then, we have continued to call on them to fill interim needs.”
