Staff Augmentation
Whether caused by a transition in staff, a need for additional support for projects, or a requirement for our areas of expertise, we have a reputation of responding swiftly. We can support your in-house EHS staff or take on an urgent project.
We have stepped in to temporarily manage the compliance obligations of large companies when their Safety Director needed an emergency leave of absence. We are able to quickly transition because of our collective experience in many industries.
Hellman & Associates also is able to place a full-time consultant within large companies who choose to outsource a safety position. They leave employee management to us and benefit from the Hellman & Associates team who stands behind every consultant.
- Roche Pharmaceutical Corporation – H&A currently staffs a full-time consultant whose responsibilities include OSHA compliance assessments, health and safety compliance audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ventilation system evaluations, data management system development, OSHA written program development and health and safety training support. H&A’s on-site consultant also conducts process equipment containment and engineering control evaluations for highly potent and biologically active pharmaceutical intermediates and raw materials.
- MillerCoors Brewery – H&A currently staffs a part-time consultant whose responsibilities include conducting new-hire employee safety training, as well as, noise dosimetry, sound mapping and air CO2 monitoring.
- Lockheed Martin Corporation – In the past, H&A placed a full-time consultant at one of Lockheed’s facilities who handled employee training, program development, implementation and maintenance, and technical consultation.
- Littleton Adventist Hospital – During a staff transition, H&A staffed a full-time consultant who conducted continuous inspections of the facility to ensure safety program compliance, updated and maintained emergency evacuation procedures, and organized medical records and accident reports. Our consultant was also involved in Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) compliance investigations and participated in many community emergency-planning meetings and events.
"We were notified of a pending Joint Commission inspection but did not have an in-house safety officer at the time. Hellman and Associates helped us put together policies and procedures specific to our facility to satisfy the requirements of the Joint Commission. They ensured we were well-prepared for our inspection, which we passed quickly and easily. Since then, we have continued to call on them to fill interim needs. We’ve found them to be knowledgeable about healthcare-specific safety considerations and able to provide the support we need to maintain a safe environment."
